LEARNING SHOULD BE FUN
We are a “Good” Pre-school, caring for and educating children between the ages of 2 and 5 years old. We work very closely with our families to ensure that these vital first steps to education are of the highest quality, we believe that your child deserves the best and we aim to deliver excellence in terms of the learning opportunities that we provide.
This is such an important time for your child where they begin to develop their personalities, expand their minds and learn about themselves. We pride ourselves in our provision of challenging, stimulating and motivational indoor and outdoor learning through play, in a safe and caring environment, where we meet the individual needs of every child.
We are situated beside the All Saints’ 7th century Saxon Church, The Centre Preschool caters for children ageing from two and a half up to four, and are happy to take children that are funded and non-funded from Brixworth and the surrounding villages.
Brixworth Centre Preschool is rated ‘GOOD’ with Ofsted our last inspection took place in March 2023.
Mission Statement
Our mission is to know all the children and their families well. That children will love coming to Preschool and that through strong relationships and regular dialogue we are able to personalise learning for every child so that they make the best progress possible.
For all children to feel safe and happy in their individual identity. To inspire a love of learning in order for them to talk about their own learning; how they manage the challenges it brings and how they celebrate their successes. So that they have a strong belief that they can go on and achieve in life.
For all children to have time to initiate and plan their own learning so that they can explore their interests and develop and apply the skills they need to be independent learners.
For all parents and carers to be partners in planning, teaching, facilitating and celebrating their child’s learning.

I am so pleased we chose Brixworth Centre Preschool. Since joining in March Alfie has loved every session he has attended and is always excited when it’s a preschool day. Alfie has built amazing relationships with the staff, he talks about them at home and they are very friendly and approachable. It’s always hard choosing the right place for your child to be left, especially as Alfie is my first. I am so happy we chose The Centre and it has given Alfie the perfect start before big school in September!
My son went to the centre pre school for 2 years. It is a fantastic preschool with excellent staff. It had lots of different activities and toys for the children to enjoy and also included learning activities which my son loved which helped get him ready for school. My son loved his time at preschool and all the staff. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a fantastic preschool.
I cannot rate Brixworth Centre Pre-school highly enough. Both of our children went there and absolutely loved it. From the moment I walked in it felt right. The staff are experienced and there is such a warm and welcoming atmosphere. My little boy can be very shy but every effort went into making sure he was settled and by the time I picked both children up they didn’t want to leave. The room always looked fantastic and the setting by the church is simply beautiful. My youngest left last year but they still talk about how much they miss Pre-school.
Having considered childcare settings within Brixworth, this was by far the best! The staff are all extremely experienced, caring and nurturing. They have gone above and beyond to support my son who has additional needs. I honestly don’t know what I’d do without them.I am provided with daily updates via an app but it’s the experience and enhanced capabilities of the staff which I just haven’t seen replicated elsewhere that really impresses me. They are extremely accommodating and inclusive!My son has a SENCO who is very experienced and hands on and he has been provided with a 1:1. One of the staff members goes by aunty. It really is a lovely preschool.
