Christmas Fair

The Christmas Fair this year was on Saturday 2nd December 10.30-12.30pm.  It was a lot of fun and busy.

There was a lot of things to do including:

Raffle, Luxury Tombola, Lucky sweet cups, Crafts for Kids, Face painting & Hair Braiding, Children’s Advent Tombola, Find Santa’s hat, Drop the Nose on Rudolf, Refreshments & a special visit from Father Christmas in our amazing grotto.

A massive Thank you to everyone that attended & helped out, your support is very much appreciated.  Also a special Thank you to all companies & individuals that donated items.  With all your help the event raised £1,347.53, which is a fantastic figure.

We will advertise what the money gets spent on in due course (if you have something specific that you think the pre-school would benefit from purchasing then please do let Emma Hinde or a member of the Committee know).

The Pre-School Committee & Staff would like to wish everyone a very merry Christmas and a happy New Year.

Get involved – Preschool Committee

Further meetings will take place if you are interested in supporting the committee with fundraising events.  Please speak to the staff or email brixworthcentrepreschool@yahoo.co.uk if you would like further information.

Ways you can also help include:

  • Help out on the day – either managing a stall, setting up and/or clearing away at the end of the fair. A sign will be put up soon in the foyer – please pop your name on if you can offer your services on the day! We need as many of you as possible!
  • Donate items for our tombola’s – we would appreciate any items for our luxury tombola, e.g. bottles of wine/beer/spirits, chocolates, unwanted (new) gifts etc. and children’s gifts for the children’s tombola (again, unwanted gifts, chocolates etc).
  • Bake a cake – we are calling all keen cooks to kindly cook us up some cakes and biscuits for sale on the ever-popular refreshment stall. If you haven’t got time to bake, then donations of shop-bought cakes will also be gratefully received!
  • Donate a raffle prize – if either you, your company/employer or anyone you know would like to donate a prize, let Jayne or Emma know. We can give you an official letter if required.

We really do need your help to make this event a success and help raise funds for the pre-school, so please come along with your family and friends and join in the fun!!!
