I have been a part of Brixworth centre pre-school since 2003. My journey started when my daughter joined preschool at age 2 1/2 . I started out by being a member of the committee, this progressed to working at preschool and gaining my early years qualifications. Since then I have become supervisor of this lovely nurturing setting. I love working with young children, no two days are ever the same! It’s a real privilege to watch them grow and learn and to be part of their experience.
I have lived in Brixworth for 23 years and have 2 children, Annabel 22 and William 18, in my free time I enjoy walking my little Dachshund Luna and keeping fit.
Emily LileDeputy Supervisor
I joined the pre-school in 2015, 2 of my 3 children attended the preschool and I wouldn’t have wanted them to go anywhere else. I have been a qualified teacher for 20 years and have worked in many settings with a variety of different ages, but the Early Years is definitely my favourite! Working with very young children is a wonderful thing; I love to see how they grow and change and their enthusiasm and joy is infectious.
In my ‘spare time’ I enjoy walking my 2 dogs around the local countryside and being ‘taxi’ to my 3 teenage children.
Helen PegramPre-School Assistant
I started working at the pre-school in 2013. Previously I taught at an infant and primary school for seven years before leaving to raise my two boys. I became involved in the pre-school committee, including being Chairperson for a year, whilst my boys attended. It was such a positive experience for me and my boys, I never left! I love getting outdoors, walking and cycling with my family, travel, watching live music and I have a slight obsession with food and cooking.

I have been working at the Centre Pre-school since 2013 and have achieved my Level 3 BTEC Diploma in Childhood Studies. Outside work I enjoy Zumba, watching medical TV programmes and spending time with my family and cat Mickey.

The children make me smile everyday. I also work from home for my husband’s business. I love spending time with my family. I also enjoy cooking, gardening and walking my dog.
